Security Features
External Storage Encryption Enhancements - Allows administrators to mandate the encryption of data transferred to removable storage (such as USB flash drives, Disk on Keys, memory sticks and SD cards) as well as external hard drives and CD/DVD media, delivering the most comprehensive external storage encryption solution in the market. File Shadowing - Provides the ability to track and collect copies of files moved to/from external storage devices. Enables setting policies requiring shadowing of all data on each of the inbound and outbound channels separately as well as require shadowing for specific file types. With file shadowing administrators have visibility to immediately identify security breaches. Configurable Password Policy - Defines the security criteria for the Safend Protector Access Utility device password. Administrators can predefine password parameters, such as parameters for minimal password length and character types, in order to comply with the organization's security guidelines.

Server Clustering – Provides redundancy and high availability with the ability to install several Safend Management Servers. Offers seamless load balancing of traffic between the endpoints and serves as a hot backup to each other. Supports large scale deployments in the hundreds of thousands of clients. Domain Partitioning – Extends the Safend Protector Role-Based Access mechanism to include a definition of the Domain Partition a Safend Protector administrator can manage. Accommodates large organizations with several security departments that are responsible for different areas of the organization.

Built-In policies for Regulatory Compliance - Safend Protector V3.3 helps organizations comply with regulatory standards by providing built-in policies for HIPAA, SOX and PCI that can be applied “as-is” or tailored to accommodate an organization’s specific data security needs. These policies also include detailed guidelines on how to configure and maintain the policies within the Safend Management Console to facilitate the implementation of the policies throughout an organization. Safend Protector Add-On Module: Safend Reporter
Safend Reporter includes several built-in reports that address the security and operational needs of an organization and IT security personnel. Detailed analysis of endpoint activity is provided in a clear, easy to understand format for the benefit of technical and non-technical viewers within the organization. The user interface enables a quick and intuitive transition from a high-level view to specific drill down data. The Safend Reporter Add-On Module is sold separately and requires an additional license.
