Information Remains Portable but Secure

“Due to the nature of the insurance industry, about 50% of our workers are regularly in the field,” stated Mike Fleck, systems development manager for AIG United Guaranty. “We wanted to be able to allow our business people the ability to use USB drives but in a way that wouldn’t put confidential information at risk. Safend Protector controls data access from the physical ports of all enterprise endpoints, such as USB, FireWire, WiFi, Bluetooth, Infrared (IrDA), and CD/DVDs. IT managers can set granular policies regarding peripheral device connectivity and anti-tampering features make modifying or removing the software virtually impossible for end-users. Included with Safend Protector is Safend Auditor which allows administrators to view all devices that are or have been connected to a network, spotlighting vulnerabilities.
